Tea ceremony experience – thin tea

During the tea ceremony where the instructor performs a formal Japanese tea ceremony processes, you become a guest. After purifying your hands and mouth at a stone water basin (Tsukubai), you enter the tea room through the small entrance (Nijiriguchi) reserved exclusively for guests, and enjoy the tea ceremony by performing the proper manners of a guest in the tea room. You don’t have to sit in a kneeling position (Seiza) except when drinking tea. The instructor will guide you all manners during the tea ceremony.
